1. DURATION : From September 2000 to September 2001 (1 year) AFRO MEAT COMPANY LTD
Having a year of working experience in Afro Meat Company Ltd., Kisumu, KENYA’S biggest Nile perch fillets processing plant approved by USFDA and I have a good knowledge about GMP, GHP, HACCP Principles.
While at Afro Meat Company Ltd., Kisumu, I worked as a Fish Processing Technologist and obtained experience in the following areas: i. Manpower planning ii. Production Techniques iii. Inventory control and dispatch
Have vast experience in process control in the processing of fresh fillets as per EU, FAO & WHO Standards.
COMPANY PROFILE
Afro Meat Company Ltd has a capacity to process 30 MT per day of Nile perch Fillets of Lake Victoria.
Implementation of GMP, SSOP, USFDA, HACCP System ISO 9000 System EEC norms of during processing Stages till it reaches the consumer.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
I looked after production related activities like procuring raw material, managing around 200 laborers depending on raw material availability and order placement for packing materials, shipment verifying HACCP system implementation laboratory and other factory activities.
2. DURATION: October 2001 to April 2002
MARK U EXPORTS PVT LTD
Worked as a Technologist in MARK ‘U’ Exports Pvt. Ltd.,. It is a chilled-processing plant. Exporting chilled fish, chilled lobster and live crabs to Bangkok and Singapore. Here I daily monitored the quality of the chilled products as per the EIA specifications and taken care of export verification of the product
3. DURATION: April 2002 to October 2003
C P AQUACULTURE (INDIA) LTD It is a multinational company having a big feed mill plant in India. Here I served in a R & D (Research & Development) Department. I served as a PCR Technician in shrimp diagnostic centre. The job profile included checking the customer shrimp seed sample and identifying the WSSV (White Spot Syndrome Virus) by amplifying the shrimp in DNA. We follow a very advanced method of WSSV detection kit from Bangkok, Thailand. Other than this I can analyse the quality of shrimp seed and water quality parameters and bacteriological testing for the shrimp farmer’s samples.
4. DURATION : October 2003 to August -2005
PRIME CATCH EXPORTS LTD It is a FISH PROCESSING plant in (musoma) TANZANIA. Here I started serving as a shift manager and got promoted as a PRODUCTION MANAGER.
Managing 300 peoples and controlling full production line and producing the product according to the customer’s specifications with safe products as per the HACCP rules and regulations.
5. DURATION : September 2005 to November 2006
SEA PRODUCTS LTD. It is a seafood processing plant processing octopus, squid, cuttle fish, lobsters, crabs with the E U (European Union) specifications.
The plant is the major player of export in Tanzania for the Octopus.
I served as a station manager procuring raw material from the south region of Tanzania.
