fishing season is closing in on us very quickly. Winter Spring sport

fairly good numbers in mid December. School sizes had very good
numbers of fish. The fresh fish coming in were biting and guests at
that time were hooking into eight to twelve fish per trip........

approaching. Once we get into the New Year many individuals will
take their minds of the global crisis we have encountered and think
of the brighter days that lay ahead. Many will plan their summer
fishing trips in either the protected waters or the Port Alberni
Inlet or Barkley Sound areas. Others will choose Vancouver Islands

been the Somass-Stamp River system. There is currently fresh Fall
Steelhead coming in daily. The Fall Steelhead continue to follow the
Coho which are still continuing to come into the River system daily

wintering areas, and although the bite is not fast and furious,
anglers are finding good numbers of fish and scoring consistently by
fishing slower than in weeks past. Live bait presentations have been
tops during the chilly air and water temperatures with jig and
minnow combinations or live bait rigs.. ....
