In most of the larger tourist areas you will companies that will rent you a small motorbike (100cc to 125cc) for about THB 160.00 to 200.00 per day. There are also companies that offer bigger bikes ranging from 400cc to 1300cc. Prices for these will usually range from THB 700.00 to 1800.00 per day.

You should be aware that insurance for motorbikes is at best, basic cover. You should get theft and third party motorbike insurance when you hire a motorbike.

It is also advisable to take some lessons in your own country before your trip to Thailand if you have not ridden a motorbike or haven't ridden a motorbike in a long time. If you are not a confident rider, you should consider car rental or a motorbike taxi as the traffic in Thailand can be quite a challenge.
