The bus service in Thailand is quite extensive. One can get to most destinations via coach bus or Song Taew (a city bus).

Coach busses have different "classes" on a per bus basis. Busses range from economy travel to executive bus service. There are bus terminals in all the cities on the major routes in Thailand.

The Song Taew bus service is very cheap and run their routes within towns and cities. A trip of about 10Km is only about THB 20.00 or less, compared to a motorbike taxi, where you could pay as much as THB 150.00.
