Beche De Mer
(Sea Cucumber)

Also known as Rosy Sea Perch.

A brilliantly coloured fish of pink, golden, yellow, orange and red.  The caudal fin is red and all other fins are orange.

The Splendid Perch is usually found on offshore reefs in southern Queensland and New South Wales waters.  It travels in large schools, although it can grow to at least 65cm and reach about 4 kg, it is usually around the 1 kilo size.

The suggested bait to catch Splendid Perch is fish, crabs or prawns.

The flesh is white, firm and extremely good eating.
